Splash up on the latest pool news

Here are a couple of reminders from the pool board:

1.  Parking: please remember that the parking stalls are reserved for our Westbridge members and overflow and Kilkenney members are to park on both sides beside the pool on Westbridge Trail — not in front of neighbors homes.

2.  Squirt guns — please make sure to be aware of your surroundings when enjoying some fun with your squirt guns. There are people on the deck reading, babies sleeping in strollers and other members who may not want to be in the line of target. :-)

3.  Guests — please remember that guests are not allowed during key fob hours. If you come early and are still there when the monitor arrives to check them off your guest pass, that is fine. We want to make the guest passes fair for everyone and not circumvent the policy.

4.  Lastly, please continue to check in with the monitor EVERY time you enjoy the pool.  Also please make sure to always check your guests in as well.

Thanks for your attention to these items and hopefully everyone is having a great time at the pool thus far!

Sports pool and kids' pool

There are a couple of safety issues that have come up in the first few days of the pool season.

In the sports pool, kids have been hanging on the rims of the basketball hoops — this isn't allowed as it could break the equipment. Some have also been taking long and dangerous shots when others in the pool, and a couple of people have been hit in the head.

Also, please remember that the kids' pool is intended to be a safe spot for the youngest members. Please make sure that any older children are careful around smaller children and not playing too rough in the kids' pool.

Parents are asked to keep a close eye on their kids to be sure they are following all of the rules — this helps keep the pool safe and ensures the equipment stays in good shape for everyone to use.

Parking and hot water

What a wonderful first weekend at the pool! The pool board has a couple of reminders for everyone — first, please park your cars in the stalls or on both sides of Westbridge Trail right by the pool, not in front of peoples homes. Also, we're having trouble keeping hot water available at the showers because they're being left on or people are taking long showers — the pool has a small hot water tank, so do your best to conserve hot water.

Pick up your key fob

Pool season is here! The pool will open on Friday, May 20, from 6 p.m. until late! At the open evening, members will receive their key fobs and complete their paperwork. David James reports that he's missing many insurance forms and the completed baby sitter forms.

Zak Koga has offered to donate a keg of Karbon Four ale — cups will be sold for $5 to help raise money to pay for pool upkeep.

See the rules page for more information about how the key fobs will work.
